DBHGame DevelopmentMusic ProductionInstructor-LedWorkshops

Join us for an incredible 10 to 12-week journey that empowers students aged 12-19 to explore the exciting realms of software development and music production.

Our curriculum is carefully crafted to be engaging and hands-on, whether in virtual or in-person settings. Students dive into a world of creativity through a series of activities that include training, practical work, product packaging, and presentations.

But it's more than just learning technical skills. Our workshops focus on nurturing essential life skills like collaboration, communication, and decision-making. Through fun team-building assignments, students build a strong foundation for future success.

At the end of this enriching experience, your child will have created something amazing—a video game or a music album available for download.

So why is this experience so important? In today's world, these skills are like keys to opportunity. And at DBH, we're committed to providing these opportunities, especially for our black and brown communities.

As your child journeys through our workshops, they're not just gaining skills; they're building a foundation for their future. They're creating a professional portfolio and enhancing their resume, setting them up for success in whatever path they choose.

Don't miss out on this chance to nurture your child's potential. Join us at DBH's STEAM Workshops and watch them shine!

What the students say

I was able to learn how to develop songs on Bandlab and become familiar with the program and get more confident in sampling songs. I created three songs to contribute to our album, and I had a lot more if I needed more. I didn't really expect anything coming into the class but I learned a lot and I'd like to take it again.
I learned the basics of game development and game engine during this session. The way I feel I was able to contribute to ogres mayhem was helping to create the stages and the hit boxes for the characters. My duties were creating the stage intros for stages 4-6, updating the wiki with new transformation information and adding physics to super sonic.
