WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH INNOVATIVE LEARNING

How Digital Brilliance Hour prepares students to build, explain, and complete real work.

OUR MISSION

Digital Brilliance Hour exists to prepare students — particularly from underrepresented communities — with workforce-ready skills through hands-on, project-based learning.

We use game development and music production as structured entry points to teach critical thinking, discipline, collaboration, and an engineering mindset that applies across technical, creative, and life pathways.

OUR VISION

We envision a future where access to real preparation is not limited by background or zip code.

DBH works toward this by equipping students with tangible skills, completed projects, and certification preparation positioned as comparable to multiple years of applied experience — ensuring they are ready for what comes next, not just inspired by it.

HOW WE'RE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

DBH addresses workforce and opportunity gaps by focusing on preparation, not just access.

  • In-Demand Skills: Structured learning in software engineering, audio engineering, and related fields

  • Real-World Experience: Team projects, applied work, and guided exposure to professional workflows

  • Accessible Pathways: Financial support and flexible delivery models designed to remove participation barriers

Meet Our Founder: Kevin Epps

Digital Brilliance Hour was founded by Kevin Epps — a technologist, educator, and engineer with over 20 years of experience building software and leading teams.

Growing up in a low-income community, Kevin saw firsthand how access to structure, mentorship, and consistent guidance could change outcomes. That experience shaped DBH’s emphasis on discipline, completion, and real-world preparation.

Kevin’s professional background spans full-stack engineering (React, Vue, Angular, C/C++, PHP), Agile leadership, and program management, including engineering leadership roles at Cisco Systems. He has intentionally built teams and learning environments that reflect the communities DBH serves.

Beyond engineering, Kevin founded a video game company (United Minds Games) and worked as a music producer under the name Artonius Tsetsuna, bringing both technical and creative depth into DBH’s curriculum.

“My mission is simple: to help the next generation of innovators and creators gain the skills, confidence, and discipline to build real things and move forward with clarity. No dream is out of reach when you put in the work.

OUR TEAM: REPRESENTING THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE

DBH’s team reflects the communities it serves — combining professional experience with lived perspective. Our educators, engineers, and staff are united by a commitment to real outcomes, clear expectations, and student growth.
